Individual Responsibility & Accountability

Are we responsible for our deeds? Can some one save us for the punishment of our sins? Can the son be hanged for the sin of his father? Are we responsible for our actions? Do we have freedom to perform good or bad deeds at will? Are our deeds and every thing is preordained? If so why should we be punished for some thing we have no choice? It is stated: “The One Who created death and life, so that He may put you to test, to find out which of you is best in deeds”:>>> “The soul that sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die." (Ezekiel;18:20-21).
